Hey there! I’m glad you’re here :)
I’m a multi-instrumentalist, educator, bandleader, and composer from Dallas, Texas, currently based in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. I earned a B.M. in Jazz Saxophone from the University of North Texas. After undergrad, I traveled the world performing in theatre and ballroom orchestras on Cunard cruises. I earned an M.M. in Jazz Arranging from William Paterson University, where I studied with Cecil Bridgewater and Ed Neumeister. I recorded saxophone and flute with the Yu Nishiyama big band on the album “Lotus in the Mud,” and for the Toshi Clinch big band album “Vesuvius.”
Since moving to NYC I’ve been featured on CBS Saturday Sessions as a soloist with Grammy-winner Bret McKenzie and I was mentored by Broadway reed specialist Kristy Norter through the Maestra Mentorship program. I play woodwinds for singer-songwriter (and good friend!) Vincent Randazzo, as well as for various jazz and theatre performances in the city, including an ongoing collaboration with Flying Leap theatre company. I teach private saxophone lessons and I’m also a Songwriting teaching artist with NYC Children’s Theater.
